Preparation Before Surgery

Unless otherwise indicated, any medicines that you normally take should be taken as per your normal schedule. If you have a heart or orthopedic condition which necessitates taking antibiotics prior to surgery, please do so, as discussed at the initial consultation. Please contact our office if there are any questions.

Get a good night's rest the night before. If you are having the procedure under local anesthesia, you may bring iPod, radio, CD, or other listening devices with you. They will not interfere with the procedure.

Unless you are going to have general anesthesia or intravenous sedation, it is not necessary to have someone come to the office with you. If you want to have someone with you , they are welcome. Please leave underage children at home. The oral surgical office is not an appropriate place for unattended children. They will not be allowed to accompany you during the procedure.
